Polish Supermodel Monika “Jac” Jagaciak is no stranger to the runway—she’s a catwalk regular who’s walked in top fashion shows around the world (including ours, of course!). Get ready to see a new, beachier side of her on our upcoming Swim Special! We had a chance to chat with her about beach hair, swimming and a certain beach in Croatia…check it out!
‘Lie in the sand’ or ‘splash in the waves’ kind of girl?
I’m definitely good at lying in the sand. Pretty good at splashing in the waves, but I’m not a good swimmer.
Beach braid or beach waves?
Beach salty waves ;)
Poolside or seaside?
Both aren’t bad.
Ice cream, coconut or popsicle?
Coconut.
How old were you when you learned to swim?
I never quite learned properly! I might have been five or six when I figured out how to SURVIVE in the water.
Favorite beach memory?
A nude beach in Croatia ;)
Surf’s up! Ever had a major wipeout?
Many! As I said, I’m not good in the water.
Favorite beach sport?
Volleyball
You’re on a boat. What’s your jam?
“Drop It Like It’s Hot” by Snoop Dogg.
What’s in your beach bag?
Sunscreen, water and a good book.

BEHIND THE SWIM SPECIAL: STELLA MAXWELL
You probably recognize this Belgian-born beauty from the cover of our 2014 Christmas Dreams & Fantasies Catalogue (not to mention the 2014 Fashion Show)—but get ready to see more of the stunning Stella Maxwell. She’s featured in several of our new campaigns, as well as our upcoming Victoria’s Secret Swim Special. One thing we learned instantly when we met her? This girl LOVES the beach. We chatted with her about beaches, bikinis and all things swim—check it out.
‘Lie in the sand’ or ‘splash in the waves’ kind of girl?
All of the above! I love lying in the sand, reading a book and listening to some music…but I also love hopping on my longboard and getting in the surf.
Beach braid or beach waves?
Beach braid. I LOVE braids in my hair!
Poolside or seaside?
Seaside. Nothing can’t take the place of the beautiful ocean air, palms swaying in the breeze and the sound of waves running up the beach.
Ice cream, coconut or popsicle?
Combo! I like coconut ice cream. But my FAVORITE beach treat is fruit—you know when they chop it up and add lime and chili sauce? I love that.
How old were you when you learned to swim?
I was swimming in the womb…I grew up in New Zealand and swimming’s a must there.
Surf’s up! Ever had a major wipeout?
Yeah, I have had a couple, but to be honest you just learn to be calm and float around in the white water—there’s something peaceful about it. One time, I was surfing this reef break in Indonesia and my friend and I ran right into each other! We were fine, but surfing reefs can be a bit intimidating—they’re sharp and the waves are strong.
Favorite beach sport?
Surfing! Also, I love playing smashball.
You’re on a boat. What’s your jam?
“Sun is Shining” By Bob Marley! No better jam while you are gliding over the endless blue.
What’s in your beach bag?
VS bikini, old Levi’s (in case you grab a bite somewhere), sunnies, sun block, coconut oil, my book, iPod, alkaline water, my sandals and an old, worn, slightly oversized white cotton shirt.
Your perfect bonfire look?
Some old Levi’s (I would roll up the cuffs), barefoot (or with UGGs depending on the weather), a really soft cotton worn shirt (maybe with some holes in it), an old sun-kissed flannel and my guitar.
Your go-to sunbathing suit?
Well, after this trip I have about 10 VS suits that are awesome, so that’s a tricky question!

The incredibly beautiful Jasmine Tookes has graced our windows as the face of our Scandalous fragrance, not to mention trended worldwide when she took our Fashion Show runway by storm last year. Next up for this California girl? Getting back to her beachy roots on our Swim Special! We sat down with Jasmine on set in Puerto Rico to get the scoop.

Something simple and tiny. Currently it’s a black VS string bikini.

You’ve probably seen this Swedish beauty partying it up with PINK for the past few years, but Elsa Hosk is one of the newest faces to grace the Victoria’s Secret Swim catalogues. She also plays a big part in our upcoming Swim Special! During filming, we had a chance to ask Elsa a few questions about one of our favorite topics—the beach!

Six or seven years old.

The first time I went to Barbour Island, the beach was so empty, white and beautiful.

Waterskiing or going in the ring behind the boat, if that counts as a sport!

SUPERMODEL JOAN SMALLS ON PUERTO RICO
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know that our upcoming Swim Special is set in stunning Puerto Rico! We were lucky enough to film with world-famous Supermodel Joan Smalls, who is also a Puerto Rican native. We had a chance to sit down with Joan for a quick chat about what it’s like to grow up in such an inspiring country.
How long did you live in Puerto Rico?
About 19 years.
What inspires you most about your hometown?
My hometown of Hatillo is calm… the mountain views are relaxing and breathtaking on a beautiful evening.
Favorite spot to share a romantic moment?
The forest, walking and holding hands with my boyfriend.
Most selfie-worthy spot?
Any background with coconut trees.
What are a few things that make San Juan, Puerto Rico’s capital, special?
Historic, fun nights and fantastic people.
Are you a salsa fan? What’s your favorite move?
I love Salsa. My favorite moves are all the turns and twirls. It’s so fluid and sensual…the passion comes through the moves.
Favorite local treats?
Mofongo with Mahi-mahi in a garlic sauce, and local fried cheese with guava sauce.
